About

I grew up in the little town of Tracyton in beautiful rainy Washington State. After attending the University of Washington (Wildlife Science) I moved to Australia where I worked as supervisor of the RSPCA-ACT wildlife shelter for two and a half years. In that role I oversaw the daily care of 3000+ sick, injured, and orphaned animals that were brought into to the facility annually. I have also worked for several other wildlife organisations as well as social programs for people with intellectual disabilities (my other big passion).

In 2009 I left the RSPCA to pursue a career in wildlife film making. Since then I have appeared in the television programs “RSPCA Animal Rescue” (Seven Network: Australia), “Travel Oz” (ABC1: Australia), several news features (ABC News Canberra, Win News Canberra, King5 News Seattle), the independent documentary “Kangaroos of Conflict” (Les Herstik Productions), and the Greg Grainger documentary “Heroes of Australia” (ABC1).

I am currently in pre-production for my first feature length documentary and am working toward my Masters Degree at the University of Queensland where I am researching sperm competition and male/female brain size differences in Australian bats.

My life is a weird one but it’s exciting and unique and I wouldn’t trade it for anything!
